On the final day of the season and with promotion secured, Claygate enjoyed an excellent 139 run victory against Merton.

Claygate continued to push for runs in the middle period of the innings losing wickets at regular intervals. Skipper Howe just missed out on his second century in two games eventually being out for 94. Some late order hitting pushed Claygate to 210-9 from 45 overs.

In reply, Rajindu Rod rigo continued his excellent form taking 2-11 from 6 overs and Merton struggled to get any momentum in their innings as wickets fell at regular intervals. Peter Knight, Vikram Prabhakar and Scott Labacik each took two. The game finished spectacularly when Rajindu Rodrigo producing a brilliant direct hit from the boundary running out Merton’s last man.
