On Saturday, 24th September we helped Claygate celebrate. Having won a battle with the local council to cancel “pay and display parking” in the village, we held a street party. This was organised by the shopkeepers and ourselves. We gave out 100’s of our branded balloons and mint houses. There was face painting, free food and a free quiz. Claygate Dramatic Society acted out a short play telling the story of our battle with the council. The turnout was excellent, with the street closed for traffic, The Parade was absolutely packed.
