Claygate Cricket Week has been hailed a success with the senior team winning three matches and losing two. On Wednesday, visitors Old Ashfordians were contained to a total of 227, with the young Tom Boyce, making his first appearance for the senior side, bowling beautifully and taking two wickets one of which was Ashfordians best batsman who had already scored 60 runs. Well done Tom!

In Claygate’s reply ‘Player of the week’ Damian Ross, hit a superb innings of exactly 100 not out, his first century at Claygate for six years and bringing with it an excellent two wicket victory. Damian has now usurped the current holder, Steve Wells, as the ‘oldest’ batsman in Claygate history to hit a hundred for Claygate.
