At Grosvenor Billinghurst we subscribe to professional standards, and we are either a member company, or have key people as members, of the relevant professional bodies, such as the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), the Association of Residential Lettings Agents (ARLA), the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and others. A short summary of each of these associations can be found below and a web link to the relevant associations own web site can be found by clicking on that association’s logo.
Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA)
This is the professional association for estate agents with 10,000 members across the UK. The NAEA promote professionalism in estate agency and promote training through technical awards. By choosing an NAEA member you can be sure you are dealing with an experienced and professional agent.
Ombudsman for Estate Agents (OEA)
The scheme provides an independent and impartial facility for the resolution of complaints between those members of the public who buy, sell or let property and the agents they deal with. The member agents of the scheme comply with a Code of Practice which lays down standards of business conduct. Grosvenor Billinghurst is a member agent and The Ombudsman’s powers allow him to make awards of compensation for financial loss and/or distress and inconvenience, where he feels that is appropriate. The service is free of charge for the public.
Move With Us
This is a national network of over 1,000 independent estate agents. Every Move With Us agent has been individually chosen and invited to become a member after comprehensive market research in their area. As a member we are able to receive from and refer to other member agents. So if you are looking to buy or sell in another area we can help.
Association of Residential Lettings Agents (ARLA)
The Association of Residential Lettings Agents (ARLA) is the professional body that represents the lettings and property management activity within the UK. Member agents are required to work to a code of conduct and are subject to regular monitoring ensuring they are of the highest standard within the industry.
