I joined the Grosvenor Billinghurst Cobham family in October 2018, after working for another agency in Cobham for a couple of years. I fell into estate agency by chance after working for a firm of surveyors for over ten years and wanting a change – it was a mixture of fate and sending a text message to the wrong person! The part of the job that I enjoy most is definitely helping people, it’s as simple as that.
Tell us about you outside of work
I am a keen reader, mainly crime fiction or “chick lit”. As a child my mum often had to tell me to go and do something outside because I was “reading again”. I have two grown up sons and a (step)grandson. I am a member of the RHS and you will often find me wandering in the wonderful Wisley Gardens on a Sunday afternoon. Once or twice a week I join a “zoom-ba” class and I am also a member of Ceroc Surrey but for obvious reasons our weekly Ceroc dance nights are on hold for the time being!
What’s your favourite bit of a house?
It has to be the kitchen, the obvious choice for a GBBO fan and someone who likes to try out new dishes from different cultures. However, as will be the case for a lot of people, gardens come a very close second these days.
I used to play saxophone and was a member of a local rowing club. I once came second in a short story competition and my husband of 16 years proposed to me on the very first day we met in person.
One thing you’ve taken from the last year
We made friends with our Polish and Filipino neighbours and because of that, I started learning Polish and Tagalog. I finished about 9 jigsaw puzzles (1000 pieces each) in the first lockdown and discovered the joys of gardening and growing our own veggies.
