I have worked for Grosvenor Billinghurst for 10 years, starting as a Saturday viewings assistant for Claygate and Hinchley Wood, increasing my hours over the years doing extra viewings and general admin from the Hinchley Wood office. I have combined this role alongside running my own hairdressing business where I work from a salon within a community centre in Molesey two days a week.
I grew up in Hinchley Wood and have been to both the local schools. I lived in Claygate too so know the local areas very well. My Mum is still living locally in Claygate so it’s handy for a cuppa after a busy Saturday of viewings!
Tell us about you outside of work
I have lived in this area all my life and currently live in Molesey with my husband Tony. We have four grown up children between us and 1 grandson in Copenhagen who, sadly due to lock down restrictions, we’ve only met once and are keen to visit as soon as restrictions allow . We became empty nesters in 2020 so have a new 4-legged friend, our 1-year-old Lilac Burmese Truffle, who we adore and who is spoilt rotten!
In my spare time I like cycling along the towpath and in the beautiful Bushy Park. We are members of Hampton Court Palace so often wander the grounds at weekends. We enjoy gardening and are members of the National Trust and R.H.S. Wisley. I also enjoy regular swimming at a local pool which has been my saving grace during these challenging times.
What’s your favourite bit of a house?
It would have to be the garden, I love to see what people do even in a small space. I think it can transform a property and, certainly during lock down, provide an extra safe space if you are lucky enough to own one.
I was fortunate enough to grow up in Hinchley Wood, with our house backing on to the golf course. My sister and I used to collect the golf balls that had missed the green and ended up in our garden and then try and sell them back to the golfers as they passed!
