Grosvenor has agreed to sponsor Surbiton Golf Club in a three-year deal that will see the Elmbridge estate agent contribute towards developing the club's core facilities.
The £10,000-a-year agreement will help the club, which has a rich history dating back to 1895, develop key areas including its driving range, practice game areas and course signage, which includes Grosvenor branding.
The deal, which was agreed by Grosvenor’s Claygate and Hinchley Wood Directors, Chris Burton and Roly Matthews, is part of the estate agent’s broader plans to invest in the local communities in which it operates.
On agreeing the deal Chris comments: “Surbiton Golf Club is a wonderful institution that’s highly regarded throughout the community and much-loved amongst its membership. We’re delighted to play a role in supporting the club’s plans to invest in developing its facilities and proud to be aligned with one of Elmbridge’s longstanding establishments.”
Roly adds: “This is a great opportunity and the beginning of what we all believe will be a long and prosperous relationship. We’re excited about the club’s ambitious development plans, pleased to be able to support key upgrades and honoured to play a part in strengthening the club’s legacy.”
Surbiton Golf Club’s Club Captain, Bruce Maskett, concludes: “On behalf of the club I would like to thank Grosvenor for its generous sponsorship and for playing an active role in the club’s development. It has already made a vital contribution through funding the new notice board and improved signage throughout the course, and we now look forward to working together over the next three years.”
