It’s getting hot

The temperature is, indeed, increasing – both literally and figuratively.

From a literal standpoint, those who stayed in and around Elmbridge this Easter weekend would be forgiven for thinking that summer is on its way. As a keen cyclist I certainly made the most of the sunshine.

But things are also heating up from a property perspective, too. Only this weekend, Surrey Live ran a story covering Surrey house prices, showing the cheapest to most expensive, using a new property heatmap. For those of you who live in and around Elmbridge, it’s probably no surprise that our district is at the hotter end.

In fact, only down the road from our Cobham office, Oxshott and Stoke D’Abernon is in the centre of this property heatwave after being revealed as the most expensive Surrey neighbourhood to live in. According to Surrey Live, the average median house price is now £1,180,000.

If you’re an Elmbridge resident then you’re no doubt used to reading, hearing or watching reports on how our borough is one of the UK’s most expensive places to live outside of London; only a couple of months ago I gave an interview on BBC Radio Surrey with James Cannon about how Elmbridge has been crowned ‘Britain’s Beverly Hills’.

Equally, if you do live in Elmbridge then you probably don’t need me to list the countless benefits associated with it. I know I’m proud to call it home.

However, what you perhaps might not know is the current value of your property – particularly given how property prices are changing on a daily basis (and especially in the wake of Oxshott and Stoke D’Abernon reaching the top spot when it comes to Surrey property values).

So, if you are thinking of selling your property and need advice from Elmbridge property experts as to how much your property is worth in today’s market, then it’s worth giving me or one of my colleagues a call.

As a longstanding Cobham estate agent, we know the area inside out. Not only that, but our knowledgeable, friendly and trustworthy team will ensure that you get property advice that benefits you – and not us.

Despite today’s hot property market, some estate agents have a knack of leaving their clients feeling cold. I’m proud to say that that’s not something you’ll experience with us.

In the meantime, let’s hope this weather holds and I look forward to working with you in the future.
