Sponsorship of Painshill

The team at Grosvenor are very excited to announce our sponsorship of the comedy and theatre evenings, and open-air cinema, this summer in the Walled Garden at Painshill Park. Gareth Davies, Director of Grosvenor, said of the sponsorship “Our team and many of our clients enjoy spending their free time taking in the stunning views of the rolling landscapes at Painshill, so it’s important to us that we support the Trust in continuing the excellent work they are doing to secure the future of the park for everyone to enjoy. Painshill Park is an integral part of the history (and future) of Cobham and surrounding area, and we are thrilled to be able to provide our support.”

Painshill Park Trust is committed to restoring and maintaining Painshill, a Grade 1 Historic Landscape of the 18th Century, as nearly as possible to the concept of its creator, the Hon. Charles Hamilton. Their aim is to provide an understanding of, and insight into, that original concept of the landscape so that visitors and the public can learn, experience and enjoy the history and heritage of the 18th century garden. The trust is dedicated to the ongoing management and maintenance of the landscape, whilst continually meeting the needs of a wide range of visitors and ensuring the long-term financial viability and survival of Painshill for posterity.

Paul Griffiths, Director of Painshill Park Trust, said of the sponsorship “I am delighted with our new partnership with Grosvenor and are thrilled they have chosen to support our summer events at Painshill. Events are a very important income generator for our small independent charity and we are extremely grateful for their support. We can’t wait to bring the local community stand-up comedy, theatre and open-air cinema and we look forward to welcoming people to Painshill for some brilliant nights out”.

The comedy and theatre nights will take place outside in Painshill’s Walled Garden. The events will take place on the lawn where guests can easily social distance. There will be a range of top class comedians you might have seen on the television – and some you might not have heard of (yet!). The nights feature the likes of Milton Jones, Rich Hall, Nina Conti, Shappi Khorsandi, Kerry Godliman, Andy Parsons and many more. You can find full details here. Details of the theatre nights can be found here

Tickets are selling fast! More details about the open air cinema will be launched soon so watch this space! Gareth adds, “We hope to see some of you at these evenings. After the events of the last year we definitely feel like there is room for lots of laughs from some talented comedians in our lives, and taking in brilliant productions by a number of talented theatre groups, so we’ll be making the most of the opportunities and attending many of the evenings!”
