As part of wider plans to grow its premium property division, Grosvenor in Cobham, Surrey has appointed ex-Savills heavyweight Ian Camplin to head up Prime Sales – the estate agent’s dedicated exclusive property team.
Ian, who has worked in property for over 40 years, was behind Savills’s successful Sport & Entertainment division, which catered for sportspeople, celebrities and high net worth individuals across the globe.
The national department launched in 2016 after he carved a reputation for working with high-profile sportspeople following Chelsea Football Club’s decision to move its training ground to Cobham in 2005. He also spent 12 years running Savills’s flagship Cobham office, which he launched in 2008.
As Head of Prime Sales, Ian is responsible for expanding Grosvenor market share of the premium market and establishing the 20-year-old property firm as the go-to independent agent for exclusive property services in Elmbridge and the surrounding areas.
On joining the Surrey estate agent, which last year celebrated its 20th anniversary, he comments: “I’ve always seen Grosvenor as the best of the independents. Their presence, marketing and offering has always been great, so I’m delighted to now be a part of the business and excited about what lies ahead. We want to be the default choice of the independent estate agents when it comes to the prime market and with this team, I’m looking forward to establishing that reputation. It’s great to be back in Cobham and I now look forward to working with clients, old and new.”

Ian lives locally and is an avid golfer and gardener. He also spent 25 years as President and Chairman of Cobham Chamber of Commerce.
